About the Author
As an award-winning Government TV and Radio writer/videographer/producer/director/editor/voice talent for the Illinois Information Service, Mark served seven consecutive Illinois Governors over thirty-four years. Mark wrote for the award-winning NASA/NIA daily podcast series: “Innovation NOW!” for three seasons. He is a staunch defender of the Oxford Comma, as well as the much-maligned ellipsis… and in his retirement, enjoys blues music, scow-dinghy sailing, and science fiction conventions.
Mark Paul Suszko was born in Chicago, lives in Springfield, IL and has a Communications/Broadcasting degree from Loyola University of Chicago, where he was also Student Government President, and an air personality and General Manager of Loyola’s college radio station, WLUW-FM 88.3
Mark is active in the sci-fi gaming world as a character voice actor, and an “OG” Game Master of the Traveller RPG since 1977. LAIR is his first novel, set in the “Grizverse”, with more stories to come. You can find some of his Sci-Fi short stories in the FARK Fiction Anthology collections for 2023 and 2024, available through Amazon Books. He spends his non-writing time fronting an 8-piece electric ukulele band: BB Ross and the Happy Accidents.
